Find Support Local Foundation Best of Category Awards candidates by selecting the state, category, and city you want, then tap Show Top 3. Live Google Places results are ranked by Google relevance, with rating and review volume shown for verification.
How candidates are selected
When Google Places is enabled, the app requests results for the selected category and location and uses Google's returned relevance order. The top three qualifying local businesses are displayed as Gold, Silver and Bronze candidates. Ratings and review counts are shown so Foundation staff can verify the result before award use.
Products + services
The category menu covers restaurants, food, retail, trades, health, professional services, automotive, hospitality, recreation, personal care, makers/agriculture, and community/family services. Product-oriented searches use the local retail and maker categories; service-oriented searches use the appropriate service category.
